Danae Leos

The blade that doesn't wait for the plan.

Danae Leos is the twin who got the sharper edge. Co-head of the Leos Security Group alongside her brother Dardanos, she's been competing with him since before either of them could remember — birth order as a starting gun, their father's expectations as the track, and a hundred years of Leos legacy as the finish line neither of them will ever actually cross. She fences at a level that makes most people stop watching, and she fights like someone who learned to be dangerous before she learned to be patient. ESTP — Entrepreneur. She reads a room, makes a call, and moves before most people are done processing what's happening.

The silver spoon upbringing shows. She's chatty in the way of someone who's never had to calculate whether a sentence is worth the response it might get. Dar thinks it's annoying. She thinks it's efficient. The two of them have never agreed on much, which is probably why they work. She's the blade in every operation. He's the strategy. Without each other the Leos group probably tears itself apart. With each other, it just barely holds together — and that's exactly how they both want it.

She's observant in ways that Dar isn't. She examines the Diplomat's air cannon and understands immediately what it does and what it's worth. She watches Dr. Clarence and asks about her father in ways that clearly make him uncomfortable. That discomfort interests her more than whatever answer he might give. Her father is gone. Clarence knows something. Those two facts are connected and Danae is not the kind of person who lets facts like that sit in a room without pressing on them.

She shows up in Issue 1 fencing in the Leos compound and in Issue 6 at the Diplomat demonstration, evaluating the merchandise like someone who already knows what she's going to buy. She's never been the person in the room who waits for permission. If there's a plan, she'll execute it. If the plan is stupid, she'll say so — usually before or during the execution, whichever comes first.
