Dardanos Leos
The strategy before the bullets.
Dardanos Leos — "Dar" — has led the Leos Security Group alongside his twin sister Danae since their father's disappearance. The Leos family has been in the mercenary business for over a hundred years, with generations of heads serving as high-ranking officers in the Hellenic Army. Dar came up in that tradition the same way everyone in his family did: in competition with Danae, measured against the same standard, pushed by the same man. It's shaped him into someone who thinks before he moves, who considers the angles before the engagement, who treats every job like a game his father is still watching.
ISFJ — Defender. He is, in the family vocabulary, too compassionate. That word has been used as a criticism by his father and his sister in equal measure, and Dar has never quite figured out whether to take it as one. He leads with strategy over aggression. He would rather shake the bees out of the hive than storm it. He would rather talk someone down than past them. These are not the qualities that earn praise in the Leos family. They are, however, the qualities that make him the one in the room worth trusting when things go wrong.
The red mask goes on when the job requires it. The Leos colors — gold and navy blue — are non-negotiable. Rifles, RPG launchers, the full display of professional capability. He's been working with Dr. Clarence, which is a relationship that has its own particular tension. When Clarence talks about Danae's father in ways that suggest he knows more than he should, Dar's response is immediate and clear: "Watch your words, Doctor. Especially when discussing my family." Clarence has resources. Leos has history. Those are not the same thing, and Dar knows the difference.
He appeared at the first Guardians transport ambush in Issue 1 and returned for the Diplomat demonstration in Issue 6. Two appearances, two very different versions of the same man — the field commander with the RPG and the strategist reading the room in a conference setting. Both are real. Both are him. The one nobody sees is the one who fences with his sister in the backyard and doesn't mind losing, because at least then the competition is just between the two of them.
