She looks like the last person you'd worry about.

Leslie Banks is Dr. Clarence's personal assistant in the same way a scalpel is a surgeon's instrument — the word technically applies, but it undersells what it's actually doing. Twenty-nine years old, Miami-born, five-foot-four, slim, blonde, and dressed like she just stepped out of a Neiman Marcus catalog. She shares Clarence's love for high fashion. She also has his trust, which in their world is a much rarer currency. INTP — Logician. She processes information the way other people process emotions: systematically, coldly, and without sentiment.

Before she worked for Clarence, she worked for the FBI as an analyst. That background is the part of her résumé that explains everything else. She's not a fighter — she's an analyst who learned to fight. She knows how to surveil a team of Guardians from a bar stool without anyone noticing. She knows how to poison two operatives in the same room without anyone connecting it back to her. She knows exactly what information Clarence needs and exactly how to get it. The martial arts proficiency is a tool. The intelligence network is the weapon.

She sat across from the Guardians in Issue 1 and watched them without any of them realizing they were being watched. She pointed the team out to Dr. Clarence. She poisoned two of them. She made it look like nothing, because that's what she does. When Clarence gave her an order to kill Amy Lark in her hospital bed, her face didn't change. The blankness wasn't hesitation — it was calibration. "Yes, killing a trained sniper should be easy." She said it like she was confirming a calendar appointment. That's the part that should concern you.

She's a fixer. The word covers a lot of ground — intelligence gathering, underworld contacts, the things that need to happen before they need to be explained. She works in the space between what Clarence wants and what the world sees. She is, by any reasonable measure, the most dangerous person in his organization who never appears in a firefight. And she would want you to think that exactly never.
